1  Guild Business and Discussion / Dungeons and Raids / Re: 25 Man Raiding for 4.3 on: October 11, 2011, 11:59:18 am
I wouldn't mind.
Although the thought of 25 people on mumble already makes my head hurt.

I have considered breaking the raid down by role, so that healers can all hear each other and dps can all hear each other but everypony can hear the raid leader. Or if not by role then by some other, more compact form of grouping.

Mumble is awesome like that.
If it needs to be more compact, Ranged, Melee, Tank+Healers (Because having two tanks talk to each other and each other alone is somewhat silly, plus I personally like knowing what's up with my heals).

The whole "section it to two" idea seems fine, try it out, and if it's far too cluttered, take it down to the two forms of DPS and see what that is like.

Woah, woah, woah, woah, woah!

Vi, did you add Lunar March to that lineup in that there Synchtube...?

I know it's fairly late, but still:

Show Stoppers
Sonic Rainboom
Party of One

Also, every so often I go in and DJ all by myself on there lol. I've sat there for a while just hoping someone might come in, but whatever. It's got a good mix, but I do pull up other stuff once in a while. In any case, I'd love to see more activity in there.
4  General Category / General / Regarding the forums on: September 16, 2011, 09:24:27 am
I personally see that the forums are fairly underused, in a sense that we've got about five people who are on here regularly on a daily basis (not counting the new people waiting for recruitment replies) and I think that, as a guild, a forum such as this is exceedingly handy. Not only can we easily communicate at different times of the day, but we can help others who need some time to think out their question before-hand.

Anyways, my main point is that we should probably plug the forums somewhere, see if we can get more traffic going to it.
5  Guild Business and Discussion / Dungeons and Raids / Re: Raiding 101 on: September 16, 2011, 09:21:28 am
This needs to be stickied. Now.

While I'm not even max level on this toon, I have WotLK raiding experience, and know just how idiotic some ponies can get.

Example? I was once running FoS and PoS 5-mans to help old guildies gear up, and being a tank was the easy way to do it. I managed to grab one of our higher-geared holy pallies who was online to heal so the DPS didn't have much to worry about. Turns out the pally was wearing cloth armour.

I can personally not stress the first point enough, if you do not know your class, learn it. If you do not want to learn, then that's fine, just don't expect that there will be a lot for you to do. While it is a game, it can get fairly complex at points, and knowing yourself and how you work is one of your best defences. That's why I mainly play druids, I know how they work well enough that I can apply it when needed, or help others who are learning.

Just my two cents, and Para, your main post already says everything need to be said, I just wanted to add my experience with learning how to raid, lol.

It had to be done.

But really, that is just a wealth of information. I would love to just sift through that stuff and see what I did right/wrong... Now to just get up to raiding level...
7  Guild Business and Discussion / Recruitment / Re: Stared Wow like ponys may as well combine the two on: September 11, 2011, 09:27:42 am
No it does show them, you just can't see their stats. I know for a fact when my friend was starting on this realm, she wanted the name Ryce and it was taken y a level 2 Orc I found in the armory. The stats wouldn't show up, but the character was logged.

Just checked the armory.

No Timefire on Arathor, and none even in the armory named Timefire and are Dwarves, let alone Dwarf hunters...

True enough, but when it comes down to it, EJ's rule of thumb is stack stam until you can withstand 2.5 hits from said boss, then stack agi for the rest.

I've been doing some RDF's recently and wiped only once due to being feared a ridiculous amount. I hate fear.

@Ari, yeah, I've already taken a look through all the EJ stuff I could and I was only hoping for a first-hand kind of thing rather than someone's own personal guide. Don't worry though, the fact that someone else says it's good means I'll be able to get some great help out of it!

@Fried, oh yeah, of course! I mean what Bear DOESN'T know Alamo? NONE THAT'S WHO BECAUSE IF THEY DON'T THEY AREN'T BEARS!

*clears throat*

Yeah, I've done that once before, went to a guy named Mesothorny, lol. He was a jerk and ended up getting ticked at me for not being able to tank something right off that bat, even though I'd never raided before. I think it was like a ToC 5 man or something, so whatever.

In any case, I'll check out Arathor's top Bears and start levelling more right away. 40 to 52 in a day was awesome, and I've got tomorrow off too (friday) and I should be on also in a few minutes. Ah, it's good to be home from work.

Thanks guys!

Alrighty, I, Sweetiebear, am completely blank of the ways of Cataclysm.

However, I do know my way around Feral tanking when it comes to ICC patch times (3.3.5 patch levels, etc) but when it comes to Cata, I am literally starting out fresh it seems.

If there is anyone who wouldn't mind pointing me in the right direction, be it about spec, any tips on aggro, rage consumption, helpful macros, what have you, I would love it if you could give me that hoof to grab on to and pull myself up a few levels of the tanking hierarchy.

I am spending way too much time making this post sound cool.

TL;DR HALP I need knowledge on 4.2 Bear tank stuff.

In game, on forums, email, whatever, doesn't matter. I'm just looking to be able to help the guild in the best (and my favourite) way I can!

Will do! Thanks kindly!

Hey there, I just started into WoW properly, I've played before but haven't done anything since the cata release. Literally started earlier today with a Worgen Druid, Sweetiebear. Only just hit level 13 a few minutes ago, but I decided to throw out a recruitment post to see if I could join up!

If you have any questions or anything I'd love to answer them. I should be on most evenings, and will be pretty dedicated to leveling when I have the free time.
